What We Can Do For You

Geotechnical Engineering

The engineering team at MLA Geotechnical has extensive experience in design parameters for single and multi-family residential sites, custom homes, pavement & bridge design, commercial & mixed-use density projects, and school & municipal construction. Our drill rigs are capable of sampling material from raw land, urban infill sites, homeowner’s backyards, and everywhere in between, performing auger, push tube, split spoon, Texas Cone Penetrometer, and rock coring throughout the region. Those field samples are then brought back to our certified laboratory, where qualified technicians work seven days a week in the busiest certified geotechnical laboratory in Central Texas. Please contact us directly for a detailed list of available testing options for your site.

Construction Materials Testing

MLA Geotechnical's certified field and lab technicians perform quality control inspections on concrete, asphalt, and soil materials for a vast array of projects throughout the region. Please see our accreditation page for more information and contact us directly for a detailed list of available testing services for your project.

Soils Management

MLA Geotechnical provides the client with a dedicated department for fill specifically beneath the foundations of homes. In addition to scheduled testing, the technicians of the Soils Management Department visit the site at unscheduled intervals to ensure the quality placement of lot fill. A HUD 79G letter can then be issued at the completion of each project.

Forensics

MLA Geotechnical has been proud to participate in the forensic analysis and retrofitting of a variety of foundation, pavement, and wall failures in the region. Our engineers can provide expert testimony in litigation as well as creative solutions to problems that arise during and after construction. In addition, the lessons learned in the forensic department have been used to update our design and testing protocols in order to help our clients avoid costly errors in design and construction.
